A couple of unpredicted, but much needed rain showers blessed Achaius Ranch recently. We were especially delighted by a beautiful double rainbow just before sunset on Saturday! One of the two parts was completely visible for awhile, with the second bow rather faint.
Now preparing to schedule sessions!
Summer is quickly approaching and we’re eager to open the gates for children and their families to visit, help out, learn, and play at Achaius Ranch! We hope to start offering sessions in late June. (For information about our sessions, please visit our General Info page.)
What happens when a horse chokes?
by Elisha Just when we were ready to take Sparky off the special feed he had been eating to bring his weight up a bit (which worked well), it happened.

Cornstock 2011 was great fun!

You can see more pictures of the event here. Some videos of the musical performances have been added to the musicians page on the Cornstock website as well.
Our Second Work Day
Our second official work day on the ranch was equally successful and even more fun than the first! We are extremely thankful for all the people who came out to help. There were 30 of us in all, from ages 1 to 77. It is so inspiring, encouraging and humbling to see folks with very […]
