Summer is quickly approaching and we’re eager to open the gates for children and their families to visit, help out, learn, and play at Achaius Ranch! We hope to start offering sessions in late June. (For information about our sessions, please visit our General Info page.)
In just a few weeks, we will finally have our first ever outdoor arena! We are so excited for this to finally happen! Here’s a before picture (what it looks like right now):

A few weeks ago, we were delighted to bring home our second Standarbred gelding, retired from racing days and in need of a new life and a loving home. The herd gathered, eager to meet their new friend, as we unloaded “the new guy” from the trailer.

Meet the newest addition to Achaius Ranch: Patrick!! Patrick is a 16.1 hand Standardbred pacer. He’s 13 years old and an ex-race horse.
It’s been a mild winter at Achaius Ranch but it’s also been endlessly muddy. We’re pretty sure the horses are ready for the sun to shine a bit brighter!
