Cornstock 2012 Was a Blast!

Written by Nicole Wilson

Well, I believe we’ve finally recovered and gotten settled back in to normal life after Cornstock 2012. It was such a perfect day and everything went beautifully. We had a great turn out! Almost double the amount of people as last year! Thank you to everyone who came and volunteered to make this event happen! And thanks to everyone who showed up to enjoy the food, music, and horses!

Sparky, Scooter, and Keva did beautifully giving “pony” rides, and the kids loved them!

Storm and Patrick contributed by letting the kids paint their names and whatever else they wanted on them!

The minis even got in on the action!

Meanwhile, down in the Little Cove, the music was in full swing! The Common Celts started things off with some fun upbeat Irish songs:

Kendall Phillips followed with some great country tunes!

And our headliner, Michael Kelsey, wrapped things up and gave everyone quite a show!

The food was fantastic as usual, and we want to send out a big thank you to Moody Meats for donating all of the meat used in the beef stew and the chili!

Everything went great, the music was wonderful, and we are so thankful to all of those who came out to help support Achaius Ranch.

It meant so much to see so many people here, interacting with the horses, talking with our volunteers and staff, and donating their time and money! We hope everyone had a great time, because we certainly did!
